2016-2017 RGL for Children and Youth
For this church year we have five classes, divided by age range. Our lessons and activities are divided into four general areas: UU Identity and Values, Social Justice, UU Sources – Jewish and Christian teachings, and UU Sources – Wisdom from World Religions. Our fall 2016 unit is a congregation-wide learning opportunity on migration and immigration as a social justice issue.
Birth through Preschool: We have a nursery that is staffed by a paid caregiver each week. Parents are welcome to be in the nursery with their child(ren); the service is broadcast into the room so you don’t miss anything.
K – 3rd grade: This year’s curricula includes:

6th through 8th grades: This year their curricula will include:
9th through 12th grades: This is our YoUUth Group. They will be discussing immigration and migration as a social justice and a political issue, and looking at how immigration is part of the presidential campaign. Interspersed with that work will be several book discussions on fitting into different communities – ethnic and religious; and opportunities for convening with youth groups in other UU churches and in other faith traditions, particularly Jewish and Muslim.
