Sphere of Love and Caring

For the January 15 “Resolutions Alone Won’t Bend the Moral Arc”, Rev. DC Fortune and RGL Director Sara Kelley built a geodesic sphere – a tribute to the late UU inventor Buckminster Fuller. Rev. Fortune spoke about the “moral arc bends toward justice” quote that Martin Luther King, Jr. and Barack Obama both borrowed from one of Unitarian Rev. Theodore Parker’s sermons, and reminded us that even small tasks can help work toward making big changes.

Each of the triangles on the sphere has one seemingly unsolvable social justice issue that matters to a member or friend, along with at least three steps they can take on the path to love and caring to solve those problems. When the UUA’s 30 Days of Love campaign is over in mid-February, we’ll look at these issues and solutions and see what we are doing together to make this world a better, more loving, more caring place!
